What Is Parametric Modeling?
Parametric modeling is the creation of a model based on some rules or algorithms known as 'parameters'. The shape and the size of those models will be changed automatically by internal logic arguments once set.
1. Parametric modeling
Parametric modeling is a modeling method that changes the model by setting parameters during modeling and quoting the parameters to the model to change the parameters. The parametric model has three dimension parameter variables W, D, and H, corresponding to the width, depth, and height of the model, and a material parameter variable CZ. The size of the model can be changed by changing the parameters W, D, and H; the material of the model can be changed by changing the parameter CZ.
2. Material mapping rules
1. The texture map defaults to horizontal stripes
2. The material is pasted on the board by tiling, that is, the material is tiled one by one on the board according to the size of the board and the size of the texture to realize the entire texture of the board
3. Rotation rules
Rotate according to the right-hand screw rule, looking from the positive direction of the shaft to the negative direction, counterclockwise is positive and clockwise is negative. The coordinate axis in the editor has a solid line is the positive direction of the axis, that is, the positive direction of the X-axis is the right, the positive direction of the Y-axis is the back, and the positive direction of the Z-axis is the up.
